Wedding Ceremony – Mooresville, NC

Nothing is more lovely or romantic than a garden wedding on the lawn, and this pretty ceremony was no exception! Held in the yard of their beautiful home right on the water, this was an outdoor wedding done well. Such an elegant ceremony, with the bride making her entrance in a Rolls Royce. The near 70 degree, late November temperatures didn’t hurt either!!

The ceremony itself was beautifully simple, and I loved that the song choices held special meaning to the bride and groom.

Pre-Ceremony Music ~ A mix of classical and modern

Entrance of the Bride ~ Traditional Wedding March

Sand Ceremony ~ God Gave Me You (Dave Barnes)

Recessional ~ Smile (Uncle Kracker)

The Dairy Barn – Fort Mill, SC

Let me begin by saying that I love, love, LOVE this venue!!! If it’s an elegant yet rustic wedding you are dreaming of, what could be better than a fabulously renovated barn surrounded by rolling horse pastures? My photo simply can’t do justice (which really isn’t surprising with my camera) to the gorgeous wood floors, high beamed ceiling and huge window to show off the autumn sunset!

I have played at the Dairy Barn before, which you can read about here.

The happy couple chose music that would create a nice blend of modern with traditional for their big day. In addition to the ceremony, I also played for the cocktail hour.

Pre-Ceremony Music ~ Modern love songs were requested. A few that I played: Two Is Better Than One (Boys Like Girls), When You Say Nothing At All ( Allison Krauss) & Come What May (from Moulin Rouge)

Seating of Mothers ~ Ave Maria (Schubert)

Attendant’s Entrance ~ Prelude In C (Bach)

Bride’s Entrance ~ Canon in D (Pachelbel)

Recessional~ All You Need Is Love (Lennon/McCartney)

Roof With A View – Charlotte, NC

I always love to play at new locations, and what a lovely place this was! Roof With A View is located at the top of a historic building in uptown Charlotte. The atmosphere could only be described as “magical” ~ beautiful decorations and romantic mood lighting, surrounded by the twinkling lights of the city. Across the street, the Panther’s Stadium lit up in the night added to the breathtaking view!

The bride and groom wanted a non-traditional wedding, and they chose some great songs!

Pre-Ceremony Music ~ The bride had some personal favorites which she asked that I include, such as I Hope You Dance, Can You Feel The Love Tonight, Come Away With Me (Norah Jones) & Amazed (Lonestar).

Seating of Grandparents & Mothers ~ Mama’s Song (Carrie Underwood)

Attendant’s Processional ~ 1,2,3,4 I Love You (Plain White T’s)

Bride’s Processional ~ Love Story (Taylor Swift)

Recessional ~ Firework (Katy Perry)

The Palmer Building – Charlotte, NC

I played for a great wedding this evening at the historic Palmer Building, near uptown Charlotte. Previously a training facility for firefighters, this Roosevelt era venue has been restored as a fabulous event location. Romance was definitely in the crisp, fall air as guests gathered in an outdoor courtyard, surrounded by candles and flowers. A stone wall, complete with fireplace made a perfect backdrop for the couple to say their vows ♥

While this wedding was definitely elegant and stylish, the bride and groom wanted to have a little fun with their music choices. I loved their selections, and I had a great time playing today!

Prelude ~ The bride and groom requested a nice mix of classical, Beatles, love songs…a little of everything!

Seating of Grandparents and Mothers ~ ‘Till There Was You (Meredith Wilson)

Groom and Groomsmen’s Entrance ~ Thunderstruck (ACDC)

Attendant’s Processional ~ To Make You Feel My Love (Bob Dylan)

Bride’s Processional ~ Canon in D (Pachelbel)

Vows ~ Whatever It Is (Zac Brown Band)

Recessional ~ Paparazzi (Lady Gaga) and Firework (Katy Perry)
