Every time I play for an event at a historical home or location I completely fall in love with my surroundings! The Robert Mills House in downtown Columbia is absolutely gorgeous as you pull up the drive – a perfect place for a romantic wedding!!

For me, its always fun to perform with beautiful surroundings 🙂 Here are the songs I was asked to play:

Prelude – At the bride’s request I included Bella’s Lullaby, Amazed, Whatever it is, Londonderry Air (O Danny Boy), Everything I Do I Do it For You, All You Need is Love

Attendants – A Little More Country Than That (Easton Corbin)

Bride – Bridal March (Wagner)

Sand Ceremony – Ave Maria (Schubert)

Recessional – Lost In This Moment (Big & Rich)

*For those history buffs out there: Robert Mills was an architect who designed the Washington Monument.

This was such a pretty wedding, held in the outdoor courtyard at Asbury Park Grove! Beautiful flowers, a trickling fountain and an excited bride and groom made the warm, June evening perfect ♥

I really liked the songs chosen, as they held special meaning to the happy couple!

Seating of the Grandparents and Mothers – Till There Was You (M. Willson)

Attendant’s Processional – Amazed (performed by Lonestar)

Bridal Processional – Bless the Broken Road (performed by Rascal Flatts)

Unity Cross Ceremony – My Jesus, I Love Thee (Hymn)

Recessional – Smile (performed by Uncle Kracker) and Whatever It Is (Zac Brown Band)

If I had to list my favorite wedding styles, I would have to say that an elegantly rustic wedding is one of my favorites! I love the way this type of wedding reflects so much individuality and creativity. This wedding ceremony was no exception! Held in a rolling pasture (which proves you really can take a harp ANYWHERE!), the gorgeous flower arrangements and gentle June breeze made everything perfect ♥

I really loved the bride and groom’s song choices, which went along with the atmosphere of the wedding wonderfully:

Prelude ~ Clair de Lune at the bride’s request (Debussy) as well as Forever and a Day (Jewel), Lost In This Moment (Big & Rich), Mama’s Song (Carrie Underwood)

Grandparents & Mother’s Entrance ~ Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring (Bach)

Attendant’s Processional ~ Canon in D (Pachelbel)

Bride’s Entrance ~ God Gave Me You (Dave Barnes)

Sand Ceremony~ River Flows In You/Bella’s Lullaby (Yiruma)

Recessional ~ Sweet Child O’ Mine (Guns & Roses)

Vanlandingham Estate – Charlotte, NC

What a magical wedding reception this was, at the beautiful Vanlandingham Estate! Guests dined on an elegantly decorated patio, which was lit solely by flickering candles as the sun set. I had a fabulous view of the party from the balcony as I played some music by candle light.

To compliment the elegant and romantic atmosphere, I chose a mix of songs – classical, love songs and a few movie themes. At Last, Endless Love, Gavotte (Grandjany), Come What May, Clair de Lune and Come Away With Me.

Congratulations to the happy bride and groom!
