hickory grove baptist church

Such a beautiful church wedding this past weekend! Held in the spacious sanctuary at Hickory Grove Baptist Church, the bride and groom were positive radiant as they exchanged their vows ♥

A traditional church setting is complemented beautifully with traditional wedding music, and the bride and groom were also looking to create a light and airy atmosphere for their special day:

Prelude ~ Here I played all classical music, which included Aria from Sonata for Flute (Vinci), Air from Water Music (Handel), Finlandia (Sibelius) and Arioso (Bach).

Seating of the Mothers ~ Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring (Bach)

Attendant’s Processional ~ Trumpet Voluntary (Purcell)

Bride’s Processional ~ Prelude in C (Bach)

Unity Candle ~ Canon in D (Pachelebel)

Unity Sand/Communion ~ Ave Maria (Schubert)

Recessional ~ Wedding March (Mendelssohn)

fairest lord jesus, precious lord take my hand, red brick church

This past Sunday I had the honor of playing as part of the worship service for the friendly congregation at Anderson Grove Baptist Church! Such a charming red brick church building, and I was given a warm welcome as guest musician 🙂

For my part of the worship serice, I was asked to play the prelude and one special song. I played hymns and a few newer worship songs as the congregation was finding their seats, and for the special music I put together a medley of songs that I entitled “Come Worship”.

Prelude ~ Fairest Lord Jesus, Precious Lord Take My Hand, I Stand In Awe (Altongge), Amazing Grace, Open The Eyes of My Heart, What A Friend We Have In Jesus, Psalm 42

Special Music ~ Medley: Heart of Worship/O Worship The King/Here I Am To Worship

Such a pretty summer evening wedding in the garden at Vanlandingham Estate! The happy bride and groom exchanged their vows surrounded by peaceful flowers and smiling guests.

The music for this ceremony was a great complement to the peaceful setting:

Prelude ~ Here I played a mix of classical and modern music, which included some of the bride’s special requests; God Gave Me You (Dave Barnes), We Are Man & Wife (Michele Featherstone).

Seating of the Mothers ~ Ave Maria (Schubert)

Attendant’s Processional ~ The Lord’s Prayer (Malotte)

Bride’s Processional ~ Come Away With Me (Norah Jones)

Recessional ~ At Last (Gordon/Warren)

Such a lovely wedding ceremony at Central Church of God here in Charlotte! The excited bride and groom stood before family and friends to say their vows, surrounded by flowers and white lights. Congratulations to the happy couple ♥

Since this wedding was held in a modern church building, I thought the mix of traditional wedding music and inspirational  love songs worked perfectly:

Prelude ~ Here I played a mix of modern and traditional like Arioso (Bach), My Beloved (Kari Jobe), Grow Old Along With Me (as sung by Mary Chapin Carpenter)

Seating of Grandparents & Mothers ~ Prelude in C (Bach)

Attendant’s Processional ~ Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring (Bach)

Entrance of the Bride ~ Canon in D (Pachelbel)

Sand Ceremony ~ Here the bride and groom chose to play a recording of When I Say I Do (Matthew West)….however I would add that this song would sound great on the harp (for my blog readers looking for good songs!) 🙂

Recessional ~ Wedding March (Mendelssohn)
