The first day of fall is a lovely day to hold a wedding – cooler temperatures, blue skies and the start of a new season of love ♥ Held in the courtyard of the Charles Mack Citizen Center in downtown Mooresville, the happy couple said “I Do” surrounded by hanging flowers and a trickling fountain.

I worked with the bride, groom and their wedding planner to choose ceremony music that included their favorite songs:

Attendant’s Processional ~ Endless Love (Lionel Richie)

Entrance of the Bride ~ Wonderful Tonight (Eric Clapton)

Sand Ceremony ~ From This Moment On (Shania Twain)

Recessional ~ Firework (Katy Perry)

canon in d pachelbel, spring from the four seasons, what a wonderful world

This was such a breathtaking wedding ceremony! Held in the fields of Blackberry Cove, and surrounded by mountains, the perfect weather and blue skies added to the perfection.

The music for this ceremony was a perfect blend of the traditional with modern:

Prelude ~ I played mostly modern love songs, with a few classical pieces. Per the bride and groom’s request I included the following: To Make You Feel My Love (Adele), 100 Years (Five for
Fighting), Main Title (from The Notebook)

Seating of Grandparents & Mothers ~ Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring (Bach)

Attendant’s Processional ~ What A Wonderful World

Bride’s Processional ~ Canon in D (Pachelbel)

Unity Sand ~ Awake My Soul (Mumford & Sons)

Recessional ~ “Spring” from the Four Seasons (Vivaldi) & Water Music, Suite #2 (Handel)

concord place, harp music

Such a charming way to spend a Friday evening, performing harp music for the fine folks of Concord Place! September 9-15 is National Assisted Living Week, and as the theme for this year’s celebration is “Art for the Ages”, each day featured a different form of art. Some of the features included art in nature, cinema, dance, praise…and of course no celebration of art would be complete without music 🙂

The theme for the evening was classical music, so I played a nice variety of all the composers. I also thought my audience might enjoy a few songs of yester-year that they could recognize and hum along to: They Were You (from Fantasticks), Till There Was You and Falling In Love With Love.

carrigan farms, rock quarry, white sand beach

This was such a great wedding at Carrigan Farms in Mooresville. If its a unique venue you’re looking for, this may be the spot for you! Held at the farm’s rock quarry, the ceremony was held on a white sand beach overlooking the water. Despite cloudy skies and some raindrops (I was thankful to be under a tree – natural umbrella!), romance was in the air ♥

The bride and groom envisioned a non-traditional atmosphere for their big day, and I really LOVED the songs they chose:

Prelude ~ This part of the ceremony was cut a bit short by the weather, but here I played love songs to go along with the feel of the wedding.

Attendant’s Processional ~ Love Story (Taylor Swift)

Bride’s Processional ~ This Year’s Love (David Gray)

Recessional ~ Lucky (Colbie Caillat and Jason Mraz)
