Lightner Courtyard, Lightner Weddings, St. Augustine Harpist, Wedding Harpist

Another gorgeous wedding in downtown St. Auggie. Here I am at the lovely Lightner Courtyard 🙂

For this wedding I played both the ceremony, and a few hours during dinner in the Alcazar Cafe (Fun fact: the cafe used to be an indoor pool in the 1890’s)

Here’s what I played:

  • Guest Seating ~ Mix of Classics and Modern
  • Groom’s Entrance ~ Bohemian Rhapsody (special request by the groom)
  • Bridal Party ~ Butterfly Waltz
  • Bride ~ Canon in D
  • Recessional ~ Ode to Joy

St. Augustine Harpist, The Cloister

This wedding dinner was so pretty, that people passing by kept stopping to take pictures! I always look forward to playing at The Cloister, and this was a lovely setting tucked away by Turtle Pond. Congratulations to this couple, who though they had to rearrange their original plans due to COVID, ended up with a perfect wedding celebration with people they love.

Over the 2 hour dinner, I played a little of everything 🙂 Classic love songs like Can’t Help Falling In Love (Elvis), Fly Me To The Moon, and What A Wonderful World….and some newer titles Perfect (Ed Sheeran), You Are The Reason (Calum Scott), and A Thousand Years (Christina Perri).

What an absolutely PERFECT day for a rooftop wedding at The White Room! I play at this venue often, and the view never gets old…. check out those blue skies!!

With a Pi Day wedding date (3.14), this couple wanted their music theme to be “nerd chic” 🙂 Great song choices:

~ Honored Guests & Bridal Party – With A Little Help From My Friends (Beatles)

It’s always a delight to play at the Treasury in downtown St. Augustine! Built and used as a bank in 1926, this building is our city’s first and only skyscraper. I play here often, and its always gorgeous!!

The bride and groom chose these songs for the big day:

~ Guest Seating – A Whole New World, A Thousand Years, Come What May (from Moulin Rouge), and Beauty and the Beast

~ Honored Guests & Bridal Party – The Prayer

~ Bride’s Entrance – Angel of Music (from Phantom of the Opera)

Jekyll Island, GA

This was the sweetest little wedding ceremony! Just the most special guests, as you can see by the number of chairs, with a romantic and shady spot under the oaks. The bride arrived with her children on a horse and carriage, in true Jekyll Island style ♥

I loved the songs the couple chose for their special day ~

Groom – I Get To Love You (Ruelle)

Horse & Carriage – Hallelujah

Bride – Canon In D

Recessional – So Happy Together

I really do love Washington Oaks! Its so green and peaceful ♥ There may have been some raindrops (and maybe thunder and lightning) to delay the start time for this wedding, but this was such a sweet ceremony  under the big oak tree!

Christmas Harpist, First United Methodist Church of St. Augustine, St. Augustine Harpist

To start off the Christmas music season, I was invited to play for a very sweet and special event at First United Methodist in downtown St. Augustine. The church’s children’s ministry had put together an Advent Prayer Walk through the sanctuary, with decorated stations to represent each part of the Christmas story.

The church has a beautiful sanctuary (and great acoustics!), so it was a delight to spend a few hours playing all the traditional carols. Happy December!
